THE OLD MILL
El Bosque has a delicious vegetation of holm oaks, cork oaks, “quejidos”, strawberry trees and pines, and has a numerous sort of animals too like the roebuck, the otter, the mongoose, and birds like the tawny vulture, the “alimoche” and the eagle.
In the municipal term we can find the Salt mines of Hortales, and a sulphurous water spring that is born in the Messiness’ Pasture. A forest gallery hedges both banks of the river forming a vegetable tunnel of great beauty and freshness. There are great quantity of birds, like goldfinches, finches, “lavanderas” and some kingfisher. We found barbels, trouts and any otter too. This place is ideal to practice activities like hiking, hand glider and fishing.
In short El Bosque is a happy and active town, surrounded of spaces of an unequalled charm.
